Life Abundant
Jesus said that He came that we may have life and have that life to the full. John 10:10
I don’t think He meant just for a short time, and then it’s life as usual. We’ll have to guard it, though, with all vigilance. The best way to do that is to spend time with the one who promised us life and holds our life in His hand.
Be inspired, be transformed, be a Light in your corner of the globe with the help of the Holy Spirit. When we are in Christ, we have all we need to accomplish our purpose and improve our world.
Hello Again
I have been quite lacking and I thank my readers for getting on me about not posting. I have no good excuse. My website looks different to me and I'm not sure where to start again. Let's start at the beginning of the year. Everyone was choosing their "word" for the...
Still Learning Prayer
I’m still learning about prayer and God. We’ll never have all the answers, will we? But today, I heard something that stopped me in my tracks. Well, there is more to it than that, more to my revelation about prayer today. I have been watching The Chosen. It’s a...
Mindfulness 2
Once I bought a book on mindful writing at an excellent Christian bookstore. I didn’t look through it because of my intense trust in the organization by some well-known and trusted Christians. I was shocked when I started reading it, and I will have to confess I never...
Mindfulness
I have a wandering mind. I rarely live in the present because I am forever trying to figure out my past or worrying about my future. It’s crazy. A Harvard study discovered that most people spend 47% of their day with wandering thoughts. We are missing life. This study...
Fasting
Fasting is one of those Christian disciplines I really feel foggy about the subject. I have tried fasting and read about fasting and participated in a forty-day fast, but I don’t understand the purpose. One time, I fasted every Monday from all food and spent the day...
Everything Is Prayer
I’m still learning about prayer. Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:18, “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” Philippians 4:6, “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your...
Not My Will
We left off last time that God is always after our heart and our transformation. His motive in all He does in our life is to capture us for His Kingdom, a dash of fulfillment, and authenticity. (Have you heard the sermon about our gravestone? The gravestone gives the...
Thy Kingdom Come
I am still struggling with how to pray. The disciples asked Jesus how to pray, and he gave them the model prayer we call the "Lord's Prayer": or the "Our Father." The thing about that prayer is that it has become rote to us and has lost its impact. We used to go to a...
Quiet Time Study
My favorite time in the morning is the time I spend with God. I read devotionals, I journal, and I read my Bible and pray. I love to take my time and enjoy the journey of spiritual growth with God. I am sorry to say that my Bible reading often gets pushed aside...
You Are Loved
We often lose our way and start to believe we are unloveable and even unloved. The Bible tells us a much different story; it is a story of love. There is no greater love story than the story of God's love for us. The story starts before the foundation of the earth....
